The summer season is almost upon us and Richmond is brimming with fantastic
local events for all to pick and choose from: Gardens Festival, the annual
Twickenham Festival, local fairs, Rugby Rocks or the Big Picnic to mention
but a few.

Richmond has much to offer for weekends away, shopping, dinning or simply a
fun day out!

Spring is here and finally looks like it’s here to stay – here are some recent riverside shots taken by Richmond photographer Matthew Butterfield.

Take a lovely walk through Richmond and stop in at one of our cafés for a coffee and a cake or a delicious and healthy lunch. Don’t forget we have a sample menu online with a link on our homepage. See you soon!

Are you joining The Richmond Riverside Walk on the 19th May to help raise lots of money for Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research?! Is so, why not stop at Tide Tables or Hollyhock for some energy food first? We have a menu full of healthy options to help you along the route. Have a breakfast first or take away some snacks for the walk. Or for a well-deserved longer, lazy meal after the event sit yourself down for lunch in the sun. Don’t forget the route leads right past Tide Tables, so you can also stop in for a mid-way pit-stop.

Here’s some information about the walk from the Leukaemia Lymphoma Research website:

• The walk will start at 11.00 am.
• Starting at the famous Teddington Lock, the route follows the riverside path towards Ham House through the historic Richmond, past Richmond Lock and the Old Deer Park of Richmond Palace. The walk then runs along the riverside of the world-renowned Royal Botanic Gardens of Kew eventually finishing on Kew Green.

This year’s HOLI celebrations will take place on Saturday 23 March 2013 in the grounds of Orleans House Gallery.

Yesterday I met an old friend (we both studied at Kew Gardens zillions of years ago!!) and we enjoyed a fabulous walk along the river/Petersham etc. starting off with coffee at Tide Tables, lunch at Hollyhock, then afternoon tea back at Tide Tables. The soup was splendid and the atmosphere you’ve created in the cafes is super. Thank you for your smiles, friendly service, and cuisine!  I look forward very much to my next visit to Richmond … still a magical place. I lived in Richmond from 1968 to 1979, and still miss it. Picturesque venue with a good selection of quality food and drink. Helpful and friendly staff, well worth a visit.

Have looked at your website and will certainly visit the cafe, now that I know you have a selection of gluten free food on your menu. That’s great!
